A Panto New Year Treat!
Chaplins Pantomime joined us on Tuesday 8th January for a wonderful production of Cinderella!
The children really enjoyed the experience of a pantomime (oh yes the did!) and had lots to share afterwards about how much they enjoyed it.
Thank you to the PTA whose funds into the school allowed us to have this experience.
Nursery Rhyme Nativity
We are all so proud of the children in Reception and Year 1. They have all worked so hard and their performance of ‘Nursery Rhyme Nativity’ was fantastic.
Our Annual Toy Service 2018
Our festivities truly began when we had our Toy Service on 3rd December. Led by our Year 2’s we performed the Nativity Story, but also discussed the meaning of Christmas. Each child brought a toy that was displayed in our church. These were collected by Major Amanda from The Salvation Army who will make sure they are distributed to families in our community.
Remembering Remembrance Day 2018
In school we have been discussing the relevance of wearing poppies and our school council members have been selling poppies across the week. On Friday 9th November we held a 1 minute silence with the whole school. Our entrance ways have become a sea of poppies that the children have created and look absolutely beautiful. This is a direct link to British Values which is an important part of our curriculum discussed through our assemblies and PHSCE work.
Over the last 2 weeks we have seen our playground developed with the addition of some wonderful new equipment.
This will enable our children to be as active as possible across lunchtimes but also contributing to the children’s creativity, speech and language development and social skills. We love it!
Macmillan Coffee Morning 2018
Thank you to everyone who attended our Macmillan Coffee Morning. We raised £145.20 all of which will benefit this fantastic cause.
Race for Life 2018
Each year we complete the Race for Life with a run around the junior school field (thank you Mr Shenton!)Parents and carers are always so kind with donations towards this cause that affects so many. Well done children (and staff!)
